Four Documentaries (3 DVDs) on Ediciones Vigía

1) Ediciones Vigía: Poética visual / Visual Poetics, 51 minutes long. Comment: the development and evolution of the press, the production of a Vigia book as well as interviews with Vigía craftmen and women, and numerous other outstanding Cuban intellectuals who have been involved with press from its inception, such as poet laureate Nancy Morejón, composer Marta Valdés, art historian Adelaida de Juan, anthropolgist Ruth Behar, among others.

2) a) La Habana expuesta, Antologia bilingüe de poesía / Havana on Display: Bilingual Anthology of Poetry, by Nancy Morejón, edited by Juanamaría Cordones-Cook,21 minutes long. Comment: a documentary on the design of a book by Estevéz which was reproduced 200 times by the craftsmen and women of Ediciones Vigía.
b) Un libro único de Estévez / A One-of-a-Kind Book by Estevéz, 14 minutes long. Comment: the conception and creation of an art-object book on the poem “I Love My Master” by Nancy Morejón.

3) Ediciones Vigía: Entre la imagen y la palabra / Between the Image and the Word, ca. 98 minutes long. A brief panoramic view of the evolution of Ediciones Vigía by Estévez.

Documentary on Cuban Poet Georgina Herrera by Juanamaria Cordones-Cook (2011) Cimarroneando con G.H., 30 minutes long. Documentary is based on a candid interview with poet discussing memories, gender issues, racial relations, and racism in socialist Cuba.
